Meet the Team

  • Grant Takiguchi

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST

I was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, and graduated from Damien Memorial High School. From there, I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Health Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Oregon.

I have always loved helping people and seeing them smile. In high school, I volunteered at Tripler Army Medical Center and just knew that this was my calling. Although I have worked in all areas of physical therapy for more than 20 years, outpatient physical therapy has always been my passion. It is so fulfilling to see someone come full circle from pain and suffering to feeling great and returning to their activities.

In 2004, we founded Ewa Beach Physical Therapy to fulfill a need in the community. I love how we treat everyone with care and compassion, like they are a part of our family. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with such amazing coworkers, doctors and patients. What a blessing it is to have a job that you truly love!

In my spare time, I enjoy going to church, golfing and spending as much time as possible with my family, as my kids are growing up way too fast!

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST

I studied business-economics before obtaining my doctoral degree in physical therapy. I worked in the public accounting industry for many years as a CPA, but ultimately felt unfulfilled in my career. After introspection, research, and conversations with family and friends, I realized physical therapy was something I was extremely passionate about. As a lifelong athlete who has suffered a multitude of injuries, I understand firsthand the value of physical therapy, and ultimately decided to pursue a career in the industry so I could impact others in a meaningful and fulfilling way.

As a fitness enthusiast, I love exercising, lifting weights, and playing sports (mostly basketball and golf these days, but pretty much any sport). I also enjoy traveling, eating (sushi is my favorite!), listening to music, playing guitar, and dancing. But my favorite thing of all is spending time with my beautiful wife and our two adorable dogs!

  • August Kryger

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST

I obtained my bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Univeristy of Missouri. I worked as a reporter in Mount Vernon, Washington, but eventually returned to Missouri to work toward my master's degree in Photojournalism. I worked as a Photojournalist at the Columbia Daily Tribune, at the time one of the last family-owned newspapers in the country, in Columbia, Missouri.

After working in Journalism for many years, I found myself wanting to do more to help the people around me. With my lifelong passion for fitness and helping people, Physical Therapy was a natural fit. I quit my job, enrolled at Mizzou for a third time, and began my journey to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I took a big risk in changing careers, but every patient I help get better is the greatest reward.

Outside of work, if I am not participating in an event, I am training for one. I've completed many marathons, ultra-marathons, and GORUCK events. When I'm not running, rucking, or picking up something heavy, I am spending time with my very supportive wife, chihuahua Yoshi, and two cats, Banksy and Fred.

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

A high school football injury and subsequent physical therapy sessions inspired me to become a physical therapy assistant. I hold a BS in kinesiology and rehabilitation science from the University of Hawaii, am an Otago trained therapist, and have experience working in outpatient and skilled nursing facilities. I enjoy the laid-back, friendly environment of Ewa Beach Physical Therapy because it hardly feels like work when you get to spend the day with great people — both patients and coworkers. When I’m not at work, I like spearfishing, hiking, spending time with my wife and dog, and just being outside.

  • Reese Matsuno

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

I was born and raised in Honolulu and graduated from Moanalua High School. I obtained a BS in kinesiology and rehabilitation science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After years of working various jobs, I decided to go back to school and enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Kapiolani Community College. During my spare time, I enjoy traveling, photography and spending time with friends and family.

  • Tejah Kelly

    PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

I was born and raised on the Island of Hawaii. I was very physically active growing up, causing me to deal with my fair share of injuries. This gave me insight and a greater sense of empathy for those in pain. I received my bachelors in Kinesiology from UH Hilo with a focus in sports medicine and exercise science. After that I moved to Oahu to obtain my PTA degree and license. I love working at Ewa Beach Physical Therapy because I love working with the people of Hawaii. It's also great being able to work one-on-one with patients, which helps to provide that extra level of care. Outside of work you can find me on the beach, in the ocean, or at the gym.

  • Raven Cruz

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

I started my career in working with people in the food industry. While in that field, I worked for many years all the way up to becoming General Manager. After a few years doing that, I realized I needed a change. That's when I found Ewa Beach Physical Therapy. I was drawn to the team after reading the glowing reviews that patients had left saying how friendly and "homey" the staff made them feel. Since I began working here, the staff has been nothing but kind, patient and welcoming. They made me feel like I'm part of the family since day one. When I am not at work, I enjoy drinking coffee, hanging out with my cats and going to the beach with my boyfriend.
